Peter Jacobson – Principal

Peter has been implementing new technologies in support of the arts since 1996. An expert in both client- and server-side Web design and development technologies including CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, PERL, and MySQL, Peter believes that good design, at every level, is not a luxury but a core principle. In fact, bad design gives him shingles. He acts as project lead on all Linking Arts productions.

Michael Isaac Almond – Creative Director

For the last eight years, Michael has specialized in User Experience Design, including Visual Design and Branding, User Interface Design, Interaction Design and Usability for a wide range of clients and project types. These include public facing Web sites and applications, including Software as a Service (SaaS) and Social Media applications, non-profit public interest sites, and portfolio sites for Designers and Media Arts Professionals. Michael’s professional skills draw on years of previous experience as an Art Director and Campaign Organizer at a leading Social Marketing media agency.

Kevin Chappel – Lead Developer; Designer

An inveterate gamer, coder and 3D designer, Kevin knows tech. His geek cred is unimpeachable, and both the speed and quality of his work are hard to match. He’s the guy who builds his own CMS just to see how it works, and if there’s a better way. He’s got serious Javascript, CSS, PHP and Python chops, and is our go-to guy for… well… anything.

Uchechi Kalu – UX, Project Management, Copywriter

Uchechi is a Nigerian-born author, poet and writer with 13 years experience in the world of crafting language. She studied Creative Writing and Education at the University of California, Berkeley, where she first learned the power of words and the ways in which they can be used to enhance people’s lives. Her first book of poetry(Flowers Blooming Against a Bruised Grey Sky” was published in 2006(Whit Press), nominated for a Northern California Book Award and hailed as “a first time offering that reads nothing short of masterpiece.” As a writer with an extensive background in copy writing, editing, public speaking and and education, she brings a world-view that encompasses her diverse and varied experiences. She is currently the Project Manager, CopyWriter and User Experience Designer at Linking Arts.

Dan Gomes – Information Engineer

Dan, until recently in charge of technology San Francisco’s BAYVAC, and previously at Film Arts Foundation, has extensive experience in the field. As a Senior Technology Consultant, he provided information engineering services to clients such as American Express, Ford, Ford Credit, IBM, Australian Telecom (Telstra), Intel, Kaiser Permanente, and more. But he tired of the corporate life, and made his way to San Francisco to live the dream, and pay housing costs beyond his means.

Ever Gutierrez – Junior Web Designer

Hailing from beautiful San Miguel de Allende, in Guanajuato Mexico, Ever has made himself invaluable to Linking Arts in just a few short months. In addition to his ever-expanding array of HTML, CSS, Wordpress and Drupal skills, he handles all of our Spanish translation needs.
