Linking Arts Communication and Project Management Tools

95% of our work happens remotely. While we love meetings, we feel they are best used to mark milestones. In addition, as technology professionals we are required to keep very odd hours (usually rather late), so email is often the best way to communicate. However, we rely on several other core tools to aid in our daily work with clients:

Basecamp

Online Project Management: http://linkingarts.clientsection.com

Basecamp is an online project management service that allows us to post messages, create exportable text documents (“writeboards”), schedule milestones, create to-do lists, upload files, and chat in a centralized space with access to transcripts. We will provide logins for all team members. Contact information (both ours and yours) is stored in our profiles there for reference.

Chat

See above re: Basecamp chat; we also have Instant Messaging and Web phone accounts which are listed in our Basecamp profiles.

HTTP

We will host a development version of your site on our own servers, here: http://(your username).linkingarts.com

We will post demo files there for client review as well. Clients have full access to this domain.

FTP

Larger files (files that are > 10MB) can be uploaded to our FTP server at the demo site domain. Anything smaller can (and should!) be uploaded to Basecamp.
